Description
St Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, built in 1903 by Ross and Macbeth, features a simple late Gothic design. The church has a 3-bay aisleless nave, a narthex, and a chancel, with a vestry located at the north-east and a Lady Chapel at the north-west. There is a lean-to porch at the west gable. The exterior is constructed of snecked rubble with a slated roof, and it includes a spired bellcote at the west. Inside, the church has a collar-braced waggon roof, a tester above the high altar designed by Comper, a stone font with a spired and crocketted timber cover also by Comper, and a stained glass east window created by Comper.
