Description
This is a mid-19th century, two-storey and attic block, originally comprising two houses at 54 and 56 North Deeside Road, Kincardine O'Neil. The building is harled, with margins highlighting the window openings. It features four windows on each first floor, and canted dormers projecting from the attic. It is likely that the houses were rebuilt to designs by James Thomson of Crathes. An advertisement in the Aberdeen Journal Contracts of March 18th 1874 refers to the buildings. The building’s listing reflects its group interest and applies to both the interior and exterior. It was previously listed under different names – Pyncan’s and Café O’Neil – and further updated in 2007.
