50 and 52 North Deeside Road, Kincardine O'Neil

This is a mid-19th century, two-storey and attic block forming part of a larger group of buildings. It has four windows on the first floor and features projecting dormers in the attic. The exterior is harled with decorative margins around the windows. It is likely that these two houses were rebuilt to designs by James Thomson of Crathes, and an advertisement in the Aberdeen Journal Contracts from March 18th 1874 probably relates to the work. The listing acknowledges the building’s group interest and applies to both the interior and exterior. It was formerly listed under the names Pyncan’s and Café O’Neil, referencing properties at 50-54 and previously 54 and 56 North Deeside Road.
