Description
Howglen is a large single-storey and attic villa built in 1898 by F W Troup, designed in the Arts and Crafts style. The exterior is harled with stone dressings, featuring a slate-hung upper two-thirds of the gable and a cantilevered gabled bay facing the road. There is a timber porch and a bay window on the gable elevation. The villa has a broad-eaved roof covered with Scots slates and a diamond-plan chimney.
