Description

The Parish Church on Church Street in Huntly was designed by Alexander Laing from Edinburgh in 1805. It has been refurbished and the glazing altered. The church is a very large rectangle made of rough ashlar stone. It features four round-arched windows and a central arched doorway flanked by Roman Doric pilasters and a pediment. The west gable has a two-storey, three-window arrangement, with a deeply recessed central doorway and arched recesses for the windows on either side. Above, there is a tripartite lunette in the pediment and a small bellcote. The church is notable for its impressive scale and houses a bell by J.C. Wilson from 1869.
