Description

United House, located at 6 Regent Road, is a late 19th-century, three-storey warehouse with a rectangular plan and M-gabled roof. It features a principal four-bay elevation facing west towards Regent Road. The building is adorned with decorative finials and skewputts, which have shouldered skews on the gables. The exterior is constructed from coursed, tooled grey granite with contrasting paler dressings, while the rear is made of pinned rubble. There are band courses, shallow segmental-arched window openings on the first storey, and a large segmental-arched window opening on the ground floor to the right. The windows are barred, and there are blocked hoist door openings on the north side elevation.

The building predominantly has six and eight-pane timber fixed windows and is topped with grey slates.

Inside, as seen in 2006, there are timber floors supported by circular cast-iron columns marked with "HARPERS IRONFOUNDERS, ABN." Some alterations have been made to the offices at the rear as of 2006.
