Description
The Infirmary Suspension Footbridge, located on Ness Walk in Inverness, was designed by C R Manners and completed in 1881. This suspension bridge features steel wire-rope cables and lattice-girder spans supported by pylons on cast-iron piers. The central span measures 173 feet, while the side spans are approximately 50 feet each.
