Description

A 2 bay, single storey gate lodge, with screen wall and gates, stone built and gabled. The S elevation and entrance elevation has a centrally placed pointed and sheeted door with small vertical and shuttered opening at apex of gable. Wall roughcast rendered and painted white. Timber plain barges with overhang. The N E elevation, 2 bays, 12 pane double hung sliding sash pointed windows with upper criss cross astragals. Walls as gable, ½ round metal gutter, single downpipe, natural slated roof, gabled, central diagonally placed chimney stack on ridge, single pot. The other walls windowless and finish same. The lodge is sited close to the gate pier and screen wall but separated from them. The piers are square, tall with curved pyramidal tops built in random rubble attached to screen rubble walls which are at right angles for a couple of metres before curving convexwise to the Springhill Road. Metal gates modern in style.
