Description

A 4 bay long ½ storey building, gabled and slated. The S E elevation of the costume house from left has a single door with fanlight, 3 no. 4 pane double hung sliding sash windows. Walls harled and whitewashed, ½ round metal gutter, single downpipe, natural slated roof, gabled at each end. The NE gable has a 12 pane window at attic level, wall harled and whitewashed, slates overhang stonework. At this gable is a gateway with 2 large square stone gate piers rebated on inside for gate. Pyramidal caps, white washed on 2 sides. The NE elevation has one 6 pane fixed window. Elevation is partly obscured by vegetation. Roof as before. The costume house, with NW wing of forecourt, toilet block form 3 sides of enclosed garden, mostly lawn, with path from house to farmyard traversing it. It is neatly planted with small trees. The fourth or NW side is bound by a rubble stone wall. Within the enclosed garden the remains of a cast iron water pump.
