Description
Raloo Presbyterian Church is a building of early 19th century origin, dating to between 1820 and 1839, though it has undergone renovations that have diminished its original character and detail. The church is a gabled structure with a two-storey return at the rear, featuring round-headed windows. It is situated at a crossroads in the countryside, set at a lower level than the surrounding road and enclosed by a basalt wall, with a graveyard adjacent. The building is described as L-shaped, with pebble-dashed walls, rendered dressings, and circular arched openings. The graveyard contains mostly 20th-century memorials. Inscriptions on the entrance front indicate renovations took place in 1958-59.
