Description
The building is an early 19th-century Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church located in Raloo, near Larne, County Antrim. While its foundations date to approximately 1838, most original detailing has been replaced during renovations, diminishing its original character.
The church is a gabled rectangular structure featuring round-headed openings in the gables and square-headed openings on the sides. Originally, it had timber sliding sash windows, but these have been replaced with timber fixed lights and top-hung vents of a different design. A datestone on the entrance front confirms the 1838 construction date. An adjacent hall was built more recently, in 1995.
The church stands in a rural setting, surrounded by a tarmac car park and concrete hardstanding.
