Description
Bun Bridge is a bridge of probable late 18th or early 19th century date, located in the townland of Bun/Doohat, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh. It is a single segmental arch carrying a one-and-a-half lane minor road over a stream. The bridge is constructed of random split limestone rubble and is currently heavily overgrown. Pipes are carried across the upstream and downstream faces. The bridge was labelled 'Bun Br' on the 1834 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map. While it possesses no particular architectural, historical, or landscape merit, it is noted to have some industrial archaeological interest.
