Description
This is a two-storey, three-bay wide farmhouse, likely built between 1860 and 1879. It was originally a simple, austere building, although much of the historical detail has been lost due to later renovations. The house is roughcast rendered with a painted finish and clasping plaster quoins. It now has PVC windows and chimneys rebuilt in red brick on each gable. The roof is covered in asbestos slates, with metal gutters and downpipes. A boundary wall has also been recently renovated. The farm building is shown on an Ordnance Survey map of 1830. In a first survey from 23 May 1972, the house was described as having a plain rectangular fanlight above the door and 12-pane sash windows. The original detail included yellow brick chimneys on each gable. Recent renovations have altered the appearance and character of the building.
