Description

The Gage Vault is a mausoleum dating from 1840 to 1859, belonging to a prominent local family and situated within the Tamlaght Finlagan Graveyard near Ballykelly. It is a low, rectangular building with gables at each end, featuring a Gothic doorway and buttresses. Each gable is topped by a crocketed finial. The vault is sunken below the surrounding ground level and accessed by steps leading down to an open doorway. Historically, fill had been added to the middle section of the graveyard. The mausoleum is owned by the Church of Ireland. For information regarding the parish church, reference HB02/10/009A.
