Description
This is a war memorial situated at Redburn Square, near the town centre of Holywood, County Down. It comprises a bronze statue depicting a soldier carrying a rifle and bayonet, standing upon a Portland stone pedestal and a rock-faced masonry base. Inset bronze plaques commemorate those who served in World War I. The memorial is not considered to be among the finest examples of its type. The listing record is for information only, and the memorial is not formally listed for architectural or historical interest. A partial survey was undertaken.
