Description
The buildings at 6 Marine Parade, Holywood, County Down, were a two-story house which have since been demolished and the site cleared. A First Survey record from 1973 describes the house as having a slated roof, rendered and brick chimneys, and a left-hand gable end with rendered and lined walls. It possessed a moulded base and five first-floor double-hung sash windows with horizontal astragals, arranged in a 2-1-2 pattern. The ground floor had four similar windows and a central doorway featuring a moulded architrave, plain outer pilasters, and decorative brackets below a cornice hood. A plain fanlight illuminated a panelled door. The house had a poor and derelict condition and a frontage of approximately 30 feet. It was suggested to be of a later 19th century date.
