2-4 Marine Parade, Holywood, Co Down

The site at 2-4 Marine Parade, Holywood, Co Down, formerly contained a two-storey block of two houses. The building was recorded on an Ordnance Survey map from 1834. It had a slated roof and a brick gable end. The walls were rendered, lined and painted, with an eaves course and a raised quoins at the front first floor level. A channel joint marked the ground floor level. The front elevation originally featured six front first floor windows with Georgian panes, and at ground level, a pattern of window, door, window, window, window, window, door, window. The doorways were topped with five-paned fanlights and contained five-panelled doors. The building was approximately 60 feet wide. It was noted as being in poor condition and derelict at the time of a survey on 25th July 1973, with broken window glass. The properties have since been demolished and the site cleared.
