House with attached outbuilding. Late C17, late C18 outshot raised to 2 storeys. Red brick, Flemish bond, rubble plinth cemented left, moulded cornice, double Roman tiled roof with slight bell-cast to main block, lower independently roofed outbuilding with plain clay tiles, coped verges, brick stacks gable ends main block. Plan: 2-cell and cross passage with outshot enlarged to double pile, outbuilding adjoining right with crosswing at rear. Two storeys, 5 bays, end pilasters and string course band, all late C17 leaded cruciform windows, central pantiled gabled porch of painted brick, 6-panel door with inserted lights; left return C20 stair light, late C18 leaded iron 2-light windows in extension, partly masked by single storey slate roofed addition. Outbuilding abutting right: 2 storeys, 3 bays, pair of inserted lights above rebuilt garage opening left, two 3-light casements right with segmental heads and voussoirs, similar below, number of iron cross ties. Right return segmental headed 2-light casement, sliding garage doors in partly rebuilt wall. Fire token set on facade below eaves, probably that of the Norwich Union one of 5 insurers listed in North Curry in Kelly's Directory 1865. Interior not seen. Also known as the Old Brewery. A fine brick house that make an important contribution to the townscape.
