Description

Park Farmhouse, dating to the early 19th century, is a double-pile farmhouse located within the former Portman estate. The farmhouse is constructed with roughcast over blue lias, with a moulded plinth, a hipped slate roof, overhanging eaves featuring shaped sprockets, and large brick stacks on the returns. The original facade comprises three bays with twelve-pane sash windows incorporating marginal glazing bars. A central gabled porch has a square-headed opening, a flush panelled inner door, and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars. The three-bay returns also feature similar sash windows, although the ground floor centre of one return was later altered with the insertion of a late 20th-century pivoted window.
