Description
The front boundary wall, piers, and gate located 15 metres north of Manor Farm House are likely from the 18th century. Constructed from local stone ashlar, the wall stands about 1.5 metres high and features plain shaped copings. The end piers are approximately 600mm square and rise to about 4 metres, showcasing a stepped plinth, fielded panels on the gate piers, cornice mould caps, and three urn finials, with ivy covering on three of the four finials as of March 1984. The early 20th-century timber gates are simple yet appropriate for the setting. This boundary wall not only complements Manor Farm House but also serves as an important visual feature on the Village Green.
