The Beeches

The Beeches is a house built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of Bridgwater brick in Flemish bond, featuring prominent pilasters and an eaves band, along with broad eaves and a hipped slate roof with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with symmetrical frontages. The first floor has 9-light sash windows, while the ground floor has 12-light sash windows, each fitted with a cast-iron balconette. The central entrance features a semi-circular head door opening with rubbed brick voussoirs, a four-panelled door, and a fanlight with glazing bars. Inside, the house retains many original features, including ornamental plaster cornices in the main ground floor rooms, fireplaces, and a geometric staircase with tread brackets, moulded balusters, and a moulded handrail. The stairwell is illuminated by a lantern.
