Description
Whitefield Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located in Wiveliscombe. The building features a render that is marked to resemble ashlar, with a slate roof on the higher left-hand block. The right side has a rendered wall with a buttress and Bridgwater patents. The farmhouse has a cross passage plan and stands two storeys tall with five bays on one side and two on the other. The windows are irregularly placed, consisting of a mix of two and three-light early 20th-century metal casements. There is a central 20th-century porch, and to the left, a 19th-century two-light casement window is topped with a tiled, gabled decorative wooden porch that provides access to the kitchen. At the rear, there is an outshut. Inside, the farmhouse features chamfered beads with stops.
