Description
Langley House is a hotel that was originally a group of cottages, dating from the 17th century and altered in the 18th century. The building is rendered and features a West Somerset slate roof with a stepped chimney that has offsets on the left-hand gable and brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with two bays on each side. The windows are casement style, and there is a glazed door to the right of the center, which is topped by a leaded canopy and supported by a wooden trellis. At the rear, there is an extension on the left return elevation that runs parallel with the road and includes an 18th-century round-headed carriageway entrance. Inside, the left-hand cottage features chamfered beams with stops.
