Description

Nos. 2 and 3 South Parade are a pair of leasehold cottages, originally dating from 1716. They were refronted in the mid-19th century. The facades are constructed of coursed rubble, with slate roofs and feature two dormers. The cottages are arranged over two storeys and an attic. No. 2 has one window, featuring cross-glazed sash windows. No. 3 also has one window, with 16-pane sash windows. Each cottage has a main outer door. Small forecourts are present in front, featuring dwarf stone walls and a stone party wall that is ramped up to the frontages. The rear elevation of No. 3 includes flat mullion windows with drips to both the first and ground floors, and a two-light mullion attic window with lattice casements. The interior features a winder staircase, and a display cabinet is located within a ground floor room.
