Description
Preston Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with enlargements made in the 18th century and mid-19th century. It features roughcast walls, pantile roofing, projecting eaves, a bell cast roof, and coped verges on the left side, while the right side has a hipped roof. There are stone stacks on the left and between the third and fourth bays on the right. The original block faces south and is accompanied by a wall that encloses a V-shaped garden. A long extension was added in the 19th century at the north-west corner, with a 20th-century entrance porch positioned at the angle on the east front. The south front has two storeys and four bays, with two and three-light casements. There is a full-height projection at the south-east corner and a thatched entrance porch in the outer bay on the left. The western wall extends to form the garden wall, which is approximately 1.5 metres high and returns to the south-eastern corner of the house. The interior has not been viewed.
