Description

West Hill House is likely a house dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of local stone, squared and dressed with ashlar, with yellow brick chimney stacks. The roof is of Welsh slate, with wide eaves and coffered soffites. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features a plinth, band course, and rusticated quoins. The windows are 12-pane sashes in architraved surrounds. The central entrance has a 6-panel door with a radial-glazed, Regency-style fanlight within a semi-circular recess, flanked by tall stone Doric columns with a flat entablature and a lead-covered hood, accessed by three steps. A brick extension is set back on the west side of the house, and a 20th-century wing wall exists to the east. The interior was not inspected.
