Description

Kingsview is a house located on the south side of High Street in Bruton, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble, featuring painted ashlar dressings, and has a hipped Welsh slate roof at the west end, with brick chimney stacks at either end. The building stands three stories tall and consists of three bays. It has a plinth and sash windows set in plain ashlar surrounds, with 12- and 16-pane windows on the ground floor, 12-pane windows on the first floor, and 9-pane windows on the second floor. The entrance is a semi-circular arched doorway with a plain surround that includes impost blocks, leading to a six-panel door topped with a curved fanlight and painted glass. The interior has not been seen.
