Description

No. 43 High Street is a cottage that likely dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 1970s. It is constructed of local stone and has a pebbledash render. The stone slate roof is continuous with No. 45 next door. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. The entrance features a 20th-century panelled door with an earlier fanlight set in a recess on the lower bay. Below, there is a 20th-century 12-pane sash window, and above, two apparently renewed 5-pane sashes. The interior has not been seen. This cottage is primarily noted for its group value within the row.
