Description

Bruton Post Office is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of High Street in Bruton. It is constructed from Doulting stone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with plain gables, along with brick end chimney stacks. The building has three storeys and two bays. The first bay includes a small shopfront with a 28-pane window and an angled return to a part-glazed door on the left, topped by a simple fascia. The second bay has a six-panel door with a fanlight set into a semi-circular arched recess. On the first floor, there are 12-pane sash windows, with a wrought iron bracket supporting a hanging sign between them. The second floor features 9-pane sash windows. The interior has not been seen.
