Description
The Doctor's Old House is a detached house located on Water Street, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from Ham stone ashlar and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with a wide eaves overhang and stone chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high, with a layout of two bays on the main façade and a three-bay extension on the east side. The south elevation has blind panels in the first bay and a 16-pane sash window in the upper part of the second bay. Below this window, there are a pair of margined glazed doors with matching fanlights set in a plain recess. The extension includes 16-pane sash windows above and margined French windows below. The west elevation is consistent with the design of the extension. The interior has not been seen.
