Description
The Gillett family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 7 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Aldhelm and St Eadburgha. This 18th-century monument features ham stone fluted columns without capitals, positioned at the corners of the curved east and west ends, as well as dividing the north and south fronts. The north and south fronts are inscribed only with the names of members of the Gillett family, with the earliest inscription commemorating Susannah Gillett, who died in 1782.
