Description
The north boundary wall located about 3 metres from Ash School dates from the 19th century. It is constructed from ham stone rubble and features a cast-iron gate. The wall stands approximately 1.5 metres high and is finished with roughly squared stones set vertically. In the north-west corner, there are square gatepiers topped with stepped pyramidal caps. The single cast-iron gate has arch-braced middle and bottom rails, with a segmental-arched top rail, and is accessed by two steps. This wall contributes to the setting of Ash School and enhances the streetscape.
