Description
The Hatch is a cottage, possibly a former pair, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that is roughly cut and squared, topped with a thatched roof featuring stepped coped gables. The building has brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the middle. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are timber framed, consisting of three lights with rectangular leaded panes and iron framed opening lights. The upper windows have timber lintels, while the lower ones feature thin stone lintels. There is a boarded door with a glazed panel set under a deeper stone lintel located between the first and second bays. Additionally, there is a lean-to with a boarded door against the south gable. The interior has not been seen.
