Description

Old Courthay is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features local brickwork in Flemish bond and has a triple-roman tile roof with coped verges and end brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has 2 and 3-light casement windows with horizontal glazing bars and brick voussoirs. The central door opening contains a 20th-century half-glazed door and a 20th-century gabled and glazed porch with a concrete tile roof. The front ground floor windows are fitted with internal shutters that date from the same period. This building is primarily noted for its group value with the nearby Church of St Michael.
