Description

Nightingale Farmhouse is a mid-17th century farmhouse, now a house. It is constructed of painted Flemish bond brickwork, with a projecting brick bond visible on the first floor. The roof is of double-Roman tiles with coped verges, and there are brick stacks at the ends. The building is symmetrical, with two storeys and an attic. The first floor has three 3-light casement windows with horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor has four 2-light casement windows with similar glazing, all with lintols featuring emphasised keys. A central door opening has a 20th century half-glazed door and a gabled brick porch.
