Description
These farm buildings, located about 180 metres southeast of Dean Farmhouse, date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from red sandstone random rubble with brick dressings and feature a slate roof and a brick stack at the right gable end. The buildings are arranged in a "U" shape, with a longer block on the east front (right) that is attached to a two-bay shelter shed on the left. The structure is single-storey. The right block, which serves as the pig house, has a two-light window beneath a segmental relieving arch and a plank door in the gable end. The left return of the shelter shed includes two openings and a door, supported by a wooden pier. The left block, designated as the chicken house, features a segmental-headed wooden opening in the gable end.
