Description
The Ann Pitman chest tomb, located in the churchyard 20 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, dates from 1819. It is constructed from Doulting ashlar and features a chamfered plinth that supports a rectangular chest with bowed ends, each corner adorned with a column. The top of the tomb is cross gabled and decorated in a quattrocento style at its apex. Memorial inscriptions can be found on the north and south sides, commemorating Ann Pitman, who died in 1819.
