Description
Leigh Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from dressed red sandstone, with the rear elevation featuring a rendered south front and coped gables. The building consists of two independently roofed blocks covered with slate and has brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has a layout of four bays on the left and three bays on the right. The upper floor features three-light leaded casements under relieving arches, along with a mix of 20th-century windows. There is a modern glazed porch on the centre left block, and the right bay has a stud and panel door with ornamental hinges. The left-hand block was originally the service wing and includes a single-storey, two-bay lean-to extension. There is an illegible date plaque located in the centre of the first floor on the left. Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered beams with stops.
