Description

Huntspath with barn adjoining is a farmhouse that has been converted into a single dwelling. It likely dates from the late medieval period, was ceiled and enlarged in the 16th century, and underwent alterations in the late 20th century. The building features roughcast over rubble, with the barn wing exposed. It has a thatched roof that is hipped to the cross wing, while the barn has a slate roof. There is a brick stack to the left of the cross passage and another rising from the eaves on the left side. The layout consists of a two-cell structure with a cross passage facing south, and a two-cell cross wing to the west, with the barn abutting at an angle to the southeast. The farmhouse is two storeys high with irregular window placements, featuring 20th-century wooden leaded casements. There are three-light windows in the left cross wing, with one in the centre on the first floor and another to the left of the entrance, while the barn wing is to the right. The interior has not been seen but is reported to contain a four-panel compartment ceiling in the hall, steeply chamfered beams, and a chamfered lintel above the fireplace.
