Description

This is an early 19th century house, later used as The White Horse Hotel, situated on the north side of Long Street in Williton. The building is constructed of rubble with a rendered finish, accentuated by pilaster quoin strips. It has a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and a coved cornice, with tall brick stacks rising from the eaves. The building is double pile in plan, with a symmetrical facade of three bays. It features 16-pane sash windows, each fitted with louvred shutters. A central, flat-roofed rendered porch, featuring a moulded cornice, provides access; a three-quarter glazed door has been added in the 20th century. Behind the house are set-back walls, also rendered, with arched blind niches and segmental-headed carriageway openings that lead to the rear.
