Description
The ice house located about 100 metres east of Avishays is a former ice house that is now apparently used as a summerhouse. It is possibly from the 18th century and constructed from local stone rubble with brick quoins. The roof is a conoid shape covered with stone slates and features a ball finial. The building has an octagonal exterior and a cruciform interior, which includes arched niches. The door on the south side is likely a later addition and has a segmental arched opening. Massive rubble wing walls extend from the southeast and southwest, and these walls are semicircular in plan.
