Description
This milestone, dating from the 19th century, is located on the north-east side of the junction with Cudworth Lane. It is made of Ham stone and measures approximately 340 millimeters wide, 200 millimeters thick, and 750 millimeters tall, featuring a triangular top. The inscription on the milestone has become indistinct over time. This milestone marks an ancient route that runs from Salisbury to Exeter, which was turnpiked by the Chard Trust in 1753.
