Description

No. 16 Market Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed from limestone rubble and features a slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The shopfront, which dates from the 1930s, includes two plate-glass windows on the right side, along with three leaded lights in a fan-shape design at the top of each pane. On the first floor, there are three 8/8-pane sash windows set under flat gauged arches. To the far left, the party wall projects slightly. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
