Description

The Coach House at the rear of The Old Rectory is a building that originally served as a priest's house for the Church of St. Andrew. It dates from the 16th or 17th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The structure is built of rubble and features a slate roof with end ashlar stacks. It has two storeys and two bays, with 6-pane casements on the first floor. The ground floor includes a 3-light moulded stone-mullioned window, which has a label that continues over a central door opening framed by a moulded stone surround, leading to a plank door. To the right, there are 19th-century double carriage doors and additional plank doors. Inside, there is a fireplace with a broad wooden bressumer.
