Description

No. 10 Vallis Way is a mid-19th century building situated at a right angle to, and projecting into, the street. It is constructed of rubble, with some rendering on the lower walls and brickwork on the second floor. The roof is covered in slate and features a cornice gutter. The building is two storeys high with an attic, containing a dormer window to the rear. There are three windows, featuring cross-glazed sash windows set within poorly chamfered raised surrounds. A central door is sheltered by an ornamental cast-iron trellis porch with a canopy hood. The building is included on the list for group value. It is linked to an 'L' shaped workshop range to the north-west, forming a courtyard along the street frontage. The workshop range is two storeys high, with a pantile roof. A side range to the workshop has three, one very large, and one window on the first floor, with 3-light casements. The side range features a roughly central shaped panel intended for a commercial sign.
