Description
Nos. 62 and 63 on Naish's Street are two-storey buildings dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of rubble stone and feature remnants of chamfered strings above the ground and first floors, along with block dressings. The first floor has two windows in No. 62 and one window in No. 63, while the ground floor has two windows in No. 62 and two in No. 63, all with segmental chamfers to the lintels. The windows are plain sashes. The central doorway to No. 62 is chamfered, and there is a door to the right of No. 63. There are signs of earlier window openings, including a blocked two-light mullion window and a small blocked single-light window on the first floor, as well as parts of two blocked windows on the ground floor to the left. There is evidence of a raised drip above the central door. The buildings have a gable-lit attic and a pantile roof. They were formerly known as the Dolphin Inn.
