WINCANTON CP Home Farmhouse (also know as Higher Horwood Farmhouse) with boundary railings 4 metres to west

Farmhouse. C19. Local stone cut and squared, with ashlar dressings; Welsh slate roof with plain gables; stone end chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. 16-pane sash windows in plain ashlar surrounds with proud standing keystones; central 6-panel door in plain keystoned semi-circular arched recess under plain fanlight:lower 2 storey matching extension to North gable, originally a wagon house and stable. Enclosing a small front garden are cast iron railings about 1 metre high, with alternate hoop and moulded spike rails and elaborate urn finials to standards, all complementary to the house. Interior of house not seen.
