Description
Coombe House is an early 19th-century country house located on Tamyard Lane in North Wootton. The house features colourwashed render that is scribed to resemble ashlar stone, and it has a hipped slate roof with wide eaves and two tall concrete block stacks. The symmetrical front has two storeys and three bays, with 12-pane sash windows set in moulded architraves. The ground floor windows are slightly higher than those on the first floor and have bracketed sills. The central entrance has paired half-glazed doors within a stone doorcase that includes an entablature, cornice, and blocking course on pilasters. To the left, there is a single-storey, single-bay outshut that matches the main style and has a hipped slate roof behind a parapet. Additionally, there is a semi-circular head window on the first floor of the right return.
