Description

Carters Cottage is a house dated 1803, as indicated by an oval stone plaque with raised lettering on the right side of the first floor. The cottage features a slightly later addition on the left. It is constructed from coursed rubble and has a slate roof. The building stands two storeys high and has a layout of 1:2 bays, with 16-pane sash windows set in dressed stone surrounds. There are two door openings with plank doors, one of which is located to the right and is framed by a dressed stone surround.
