Description

Chapel House is a 17th-century house, formerly known as Chapel Farmhouse. It is constructed of squared rubble with a triple Roman tile roof, featuring coped verges and three brick ridge stacks. The garden front is two storeys and an attic, with a 2:2 bay arrangement to the right and 20th-century casement windows to the left. The right-hand side features three-light, ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows with stopped labels. A vertical plank door is located in the centre of the two right bays, sheltered by a gabled hood on brackets. A gabled stair turret is positioned at the rear, with a coped verge, a finial and a tall 20th-century window. To the right of the turret are two three-light windows with iron casements, quadrants and leaded lights. The interior retains exposed ceiling beams and a fireplace with a broad wooden bressumer.
